Relax on a sun drenched Indian Ocean island...

Luxury Indian Ocean Vacation

After a fabulous week or so on safari in Africa most of our clients like to head off to a far flung beach in the Indian Ocean.

Some of the best combinations might be a five start hotel in Mauritius, a beautiful lodge in the Seychelles, or a small yet luxury beach lodge on a small island either on the East African coastline or in Mozambique. Where ever you prefer you can be assured of scenic white sand, warm azure waters, total tranquillity or action packed water sports, which ever you prefer.

The powder white sand and tropical palms and coconut trees along the untouched shorelines create the dream picture in most of our minds. For those wanting to flop in a hammock and soak up the warm sun this is heaven, and for those wanting visual stimulation and activity there is an enchanted underwater paradise waiting for them beneath the blue waters calm surface.

Holidays in the Indian Ocean are a popular for families with active teenagers and for honeymooners looking for the ultimate remote beach escape. The perfect scenery and tranquil paradise environment offers year round sunshine and some of the best water pursuits available.

If you fancy a quick hop to an island off of the East African coastline then there are a variety of remote and idyllic beach lodges we would suggest, all of which are in exclusive locations and offer a service which is outstanding.

The tranquil shores of Tanzania and Kenya today belie the centuries of turbulent history full of conflict that raged along this trading coastline in past centuries.

Only the distant Arab dhow unchanged for hundreds of years will give the modern day visitor an insight into the difficult scenes of yesteryear. The waters of Eastern Africa where the fairways of traders, explorers, adventurers, pirates, slavers and invaders and now there is simply the peaceful appreciation of natures beauty.

Alternatively the are the Mozambique islands of the Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelago that are more accessible for those enjoying a safari in Southern Africa. There are some fabulous, just discovered islands such as Ibo and Quilalea, unspoilt gems waiting for your visit. Mozambique is a place of magic and imagination there are many forgotten historical forts and bazaars to explore, untouched cultures and traditions to see, in addition to excellent diving, fishing and romantic candlelit dinners on remote beaches .

Mozambique really is the barefoot in the sand paradise that offers beautiful underwater worlds of flourishing corals and vibrantly coloured fish in addition to simply sailing along the beach in a traditional Dhow before returning to your beach lodge to dine on some of the best seafood straight from the ocean.

For those of you wanting a little more of the modern comforts Mauritius maybe your choice. With natural charm and beautiful beaches it is easy to see the pull that it has on the heartstrings. Although there are comparatively a great deal more tourists heading to Mauritius the trade off is that there is more of a beach holiday buzz and an evening scene to entertain you. With more world class hotels and activities to choose from this maybe an option for those that want to be in amongst it with excellent restaurants and wonderful shopping opportunities in addition to all the watersports you could wish for.

After we have discussed where you might like to spend you safari we can then help you decide where you might like to head on to for your perfect beach location.
