Tour South Africa and enjoy a luxury safari.

A tour in South Africa is what most would envisage as the traditional African Safari. South Africa has all of the big five and luxury safari lodges, but it also has Cape Town the winelands and the Garden Route.

A luxury safari in South Africa wouldn’t be complete without a few days in the Cape. Cape Town is rapidly becoming one of the ‘must visit’ destinations in the world. There is so much to see and do in Cape Town from sight seeing in the morning to ascending Table mountain in the afternoon before enjoying a leisurely evening on the harbour at a fabulous restaurant, and you still wouldn’t even have touched the surface.

In addition there is Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held captive, Cape Point and the Boulders beach penguin colonies. If this isn’t enough to warrant you spending a few days here there are also the winelands just an hour’s drive into the mountains where you can sample world class wines on a variety of cellar tours.

Combine this with a safari in either the Kruger private reserve or the Madikwe and the perfect safari holiday is created. The large luxury lodges of the Kruger National Park, family friendly lodges in Madikwe both offer plentiful game and ease of access.

South African game reserves are perfect for private family safaris or for those who wanting to dip into a safari for a few days after a trip to Cape Town, the Garden route or Kwazulu Natal. With most of the game reserves along the Western Cape and the Madikwe reserve near Johannesburg being malaria free, South Africa offers a perfect opportunity if you only want to spend a few days in the bush, without jeopardising the likelihood of spotting the big five.

South Africa has a fabulous diverse selection of places to visit for your safari holiday. The Kruger National Park is often the location of choice for many South African safaris. Bordering the park itself there are a number of private reserves that offer a fantastic standard of accommodation and game viewing for the more discerning safari client.
