Tanzania ; vast rolling plains of the Serengeti that host Africa’s infamous wildebeest migration, the striking depth of the 8000ft high Ngorongoro Crater, and the indulating pink shimmer of flamingos resting in the salt lake shallows.
This is Tanzania a safari country with spectacular scenery, vibrant culture, plentiful game and superb yet remote luxury safari camps to create the ultimate safari experience.
Tanzania; the well known Serengeti, Lake Manyara National Park, the Taragire and the lesser visited parks to the south of the country the Selous and the Ruaha, each offer totally different safari experiences.
A luxury safari in Tanzania
A luxury safari in northern Tanzania would see you spending a few days in the Serengeti shadowing the migration with your private guide, game viewing in search of the Big five on the 265 square kilometres of Ngorongoro crater floor, with a few nights in the Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Parks before heading home or to an exotic beach to relax. With fantastic luxury camps, exquisite cuisine and knowledgeble guides and hosts throughout your safari this is luxury Tanzania.
The lesser known parks of the Southern Tanzania Safari Circuit
With mighty rivers, lakes and forests and expanses of plains the Selous and Ruaha are vast national parks home to millions of animals which are surprisingly infrequently visited.
Southern Tanzania offers a chance to explore a remote habitat both by game drive across the plains and walking safari with your armed guide, there is also the opportunity to explore by river boat along the Rufigi river.
The best time to visit Southern Tanzania for your safari is June to October with cooler dry weather and the best chance of seeing game as it congregates around the shrinking waterholes.
We know the best guides and tented camps to use in this region to create either a week or two visting both parks or as a few extra days on safari in combination with the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit.
