Mont Rochelle Hotel is situated against the backdrop of the Klein Dassenberg Mountains. Mont Rochelle aims to provide its guests with the ultimate Gourmet Winelands experience enjoyed in a fine boutique hotel environment.
Mont Rochelle is an elegant manor house with stunning Cape Dutch architecture surrounded by carefully tended gardens and horse filled paddocks. Mont Rochelle although homely in atmosphere offers a personalized service and excellent example of real South African hospitality.
Each of Mont Rochelle’s 16 bedrooms and 6 suites is individually decorated, creating a unique ambiance. With en-suite bathrooms, telephones, televisions, safes, under-floor heating, air-conditioning and in-room refreshment facilities the rooms are very comfortable indeed. Each room has splendid views across the valleys of Franschhoek.
The Hotel spans over three wings, giving you the privacy you would expect from a Boutique Hotel. Guests arrive in the Garden Wing of the Hotel which houses the Reception, Colonial Cigar Bar, eight Luxury Bedrooms, one Junior Suite and Business Centre.
In the Manor House are the Fine Dining Restaurant as well as two Junior Suites, one Deluxe Suite and two Luxury Bedrooms. Down the stairs from the Restaurant one is surprised to find a third wing, the Vineyard Wing, where each of the Luxury bedrooms has its own private garden, as well as two Deluxe Suites with private plunge pools.
A second restaurant serving Al Fresco meals, Wellness Facility, Sauna, Swimming Pool, Pool Bar and Gymnasium can also be found on the premises.
There are plenty of ways in which to while away your days in the winelands, you may wish to follow one of the trails through the vines for an invigorating country walk or a gentle stroll. There are mountain bikes available if you would like to head a little further a field or alternately, if you are looking for peace and tranquillity, there are some lovely little spots for a private picnic prepared for you by the hotel.
Mont Rochelle also has its own Equestrian Centre an offers it’s guests the opportunity to enjoy a three hour Wine Tasting tour on horse back.
Franschhoek and more specifically Mont Rochelle is the perfect place to indulge and unwind.
